About this treatment
Alopecia takes many forms — areata (autoimmune patches), androgenetic (hormonal patterned), traction (mechanical), telogen (stress). Amoura's diagnostic-led plan combines intralesional steroids for areata, anti-androgenetic therapy for AGA, and regenerative protocols across the board.
biotech The Science
Alopecia is a category — not a single disease. Treatment must match mechanism: alopecia areata (T-cell mediated autoimmunity at the bulb) responds to intralesional corticosteroids and JAK inhibitors. Androgenetic alopecia (DHT-mediated miniaturisation) responds to topical minoxidil, oral finasteride/dutasteride and PRP. Traction alopecia needs mechanical habit reversal + regeneration. Misdiagnosis leads to wasted years of unhelpful therapy.

Common questions
Areata is autoimmune — patches appear suddenly. Pattern is hormonal — gradual thinning of crown/frontal zones.
Most patches regrow with intralesional therapy. Total/universal forms are harder but newer JAK-inhibitor therapies have transformed prognosis.
For areata — most likely yes. For pattern hair loss — miniaturised follicles can recover; truly scarred zones cannot.
Areata: regrowth visible 6–8 weeks after starting injections. Pattern: 4–6 months for visible response.
Pattern hair loss often is. Areata has a genetic predisposition but environmental triggers (stress, illness) usually precipitate flares.
It can trigger flares in predisposed individuals and contributes to telogen effluvium independently.
