About this treatment
Ear Lobe Repair is a 30–45 minute outpatient surgical procedure under local anaesthesia. Damaged tissue is excised, the lobe re-shaped, and fine sutures placed for an invisible final scar. Re-piercing is possible after 2–3 months of full healing.
biotech The Science
A complete split, partial tear or stretched piercing tract represents disrupted lobule anatomy. Repair requires excision of the epithelialised tract edges (the body has lined the tear with skin, preventing natural healing), recreation of fresh wound edges, and meticulous layered closure with fine 6-0 sutures. Following 8–12 weeks of full collagen remodelling, re-piercing through a fresh location is safe.

Common questions
30–45 minutes per lobe. Both lobes can be repaired in one sitting.
No — local anaesthesia makes it completely painless. Mild soreness for 1–2 days post-op.
Minimum 2–3 months after suture removal — through a fresh site, not the old scar line.
A faint line is normal initially; by 3–6 months, the scar fades to virtually invisible with proper care.
Rare. Slight asymmetry, minor scar widening, or keloid formation in predisposed clients.
Yes — re-pierced lobes hold earrings normally provided pierced through healthy tissue.
