About this treatment
The Yellow Peel is a retinoic-acid based dermatological peel formulated with retinol, phytic acid, kojic acid, azelaic acid and vitamin C. It works at the cellular level to accelerate melanocyte turnover, fade chronic melasma, and rebuild structural integrity of the dermis.
biotech The Science
Retinoic acid binds nuclear retinoid receptors (RAR/RXR), directly modulating gene transcription for keratinocyte differentiation and collagen synthesis. Combined with phytic, kojic and azelaic acids, it suppresses tyrosinase (the rate-limiting enzyme in melanin production) while azelaic acid additionally targets the resistant deep dermal melasma component. The result: sustained pigment correction and dermal restructuring at a depth no superficial peel can match.

Common questions
Retinoic acid requires extended skin contact time for receptor binding. Home wear ensures the right dose without irritation peaks.
Visible sheets of skin will shed days 3–6. This is normal and signals the renewal cascade working as designed.
It is one of the most effective protocols for chronic melasma — paired with strict SPF and topicals between sessions.
Possible but not preferred — sun exposure dramatically reduces results. Best between October and March.
Yes — for 7–10 days. The home regimen (gentle cleanser, ceramide moisturiser, SPF 50+) is non-negotiable.
2–4 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart, are typical for chronic melasma. Most clients see significant change after session 2.
